Italian Opera Gala in Halifax Nova Scotia

The Italian Wine Society, in cooperation with the Italian Canadian Cultural Association of Nova Scotia,  is proud to present the “BEST OF ITALY” OPERA GALA at the Bella Rose Arts Centre on July 4, 2026

This extraordinary performance showcases the internationally acclaimed Bel Canto Ensemble, part of the renowned Bel Canto Project – an artistic initiative celebrated across four continents, 34 countries, and more than 70 cities for its dedication to sharing the richness of Italy’s musical heritage.

Audiences will be treated to a breathtaking program of beloved Italian arias and instrumental works performed by an exceptional lineup of artists:
Rosaria Buscemi (soprano), Ivan Nardelli (flute), Fabrizio Luchetta (clarinet), Massimo Celiberto (horn), and Alessandro Vuono (piano).

Joining the ensemble for this special Halifax performance is acclaimed tenor Alessandro D’Acrissa, a rising star of the operatic world. Selected by the Pavarotti Foundation for Belcanto: The Pavarotti Heritage, D’Acrissa has captivated audiences globally and performed extensively with The Four Italian Tenors, earning recognition as one of today’s most compelling Italian voices.

The Bel Canto Project has been presented in prestigious theatres, festivals, and concert halls across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, collaborating with dozens of Italian and international artists. The ensemble has earned top honours at major international competitions in cities including Moscow, Paris, Belgrade, and Tallinn, and has been recognized under the High Patronage of the Presidency of the Italian Republic.
